IMPORTANT FLOODCHECK SPECIFICATION DETAILS

Please note: Flow is shown in Litres per Minute (LPM)

Electricity Details.

All units operate on low voltage which is supplied via transformers. ( Power supplies)

Various  plugs and input voltages are available to suit different countries supplies.

Typically UK and Europe is 220 - 240 volts ac. USDA is 110-120 volts ac.

In the event of a power supply the units will stay in the mode of operation they were in just prior to the power failure.

Typically the water supply will be on at the time, so the user will not loose the water supply.

Some unit have built in back up batteries, but for all other there is optional back up battery packs available.

The backup battery  pack will give protection for  several days. Please contact us for more specific details.

If in any doubt please call us or commission a qualified electrician.

Water connections.

The push fit connections we supply are W.R.A.S.approved with a MAXIMUM working pressure of 10bar.

They have loose nut unions which enable the Floodcheck valve unit to be removed for service easily at any time.

There are two size available. 15mm and 22mm. The 15 mm will also fit the 1/2" USA pipe and the 22mm will fit the 3/ 4"  USA pipes. They are a tight fit though, and once fitted are not intended to be removed from the pipe.

All our valves have standardized  3/ 4 " (gas )  male bsp threads.

Larger pipes can be accommodated with suitable adapters.

The valves are not suitable for salt water.

Freeze Protection.

Although some of the Floodcheck products  will detect and alert the user of freezing temperatures, and in some case turn off the water supply, the Floodcheck valves can be damaged if they are allowed to freeze. It is recommended when the user is alerted by freeze alarm  that the system is  drained down and the water supply turned off at the main manual stopcock.

The valves will operate perfectly in temperature between 3 and 70 deg Celsius.
