When fitted anyone can turn the water supply on or off by just flicking a switch. Many potential floods can be avoided now by the occupier turning the water off conveniently with the switch when they vacate the property or even at night when they are asleep,

There are three models to chose from MODEL “A”  “ B”  AND “C”

They all function the same and cost the same. The difference being the locations of the small pp3 battery  which operates it. Model “A” is still our most popular model and has the battery in a small tray in the front of the switch unit. Model; “B” has the battery concealed inside and it is necessary to remove two  screws to gain access to replace the battery and model “C” which has a hinged lid to get easy access to the battery .The choice will depend on individual circumstances. Batteries will last many years but we suggest replacing them every two years.

Installation requires removal of a short length of pipe just after the main stopcock and inserting the Floodcheck® solenoid valve in line. A remote switch is fitted anywhere convenient to the user.( typically under the work service near the stopcock) a twin core cable is supplied to connect the switch to the valve. Everything is very low voltage and safe and full instructions are supplied.

The kits comes complete with valve switch and cable. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT PIPE SIZE CONNECTORS TO FIT THE FLOODCHECK. We currently offer two sizes. 15mm and 22mm. The 15mm will also fit the ½” USA copper pipe and the 22mm will also fit the ¾” USA copper pipes. The metric sizes are very tight when fitted to the USA pipes and once fitted they are not easily removed. The connectors have   a “loose nut” union on one end which screws directly onto the end of the valve. Thus removal to inspect is simple via this nut connector. Often antiquated seized up stopcocks ( shut off valves) are difficult ,if not impossible to operate and turn off the water in an emergency. Especially difficult for weaker elderly people.
